2019-2020 Club Ice Session Registration Now Open!
Looking for more practice ice, off-ice and a Solo Pattern Dance series class with testing credit? The 2019-2020 Club Ice program registration opens with its original Monday evening, 40 minute Freestyle session at Fairfax Ice Arena, along with Joe Griffin’s Off-Ice class and Jonathon Hodgkinson’s new Solo Pattern Dance series class with opportunity for testing credit. In addition, we now offer a new session on Sunday afternoons at Prince William Ice Center with an extended 60 minute Freestyle session. Online Registration (contract and medical release via JotForms) including payment (via EntryEeze) to be posted by September 2nd on Club Ice web page. This registration coincides with the club’s release of the 2019-2020 season book. Questions? Please contact the Club Ice Sessions Chair at clubice@scnv.org.
Save the Date for Sendoffs!
Please join us on September 14th from 3:10 to 8:20 pm at Fairfax Ice Arena for South Atlantic Sendoffs! Come see our skaters perform their competition programs and come applaud our SCNV scholars who will be recognized at Sendoffs. If you are skating at South Atlantics, please respond to the send off invitation ASAP.

Did You Know?!
The first figure skating club was founded in 1742 in Edinburgh, Scotland and was comprised entirely of men. In 1865, The Skating Club of Edinburgh finally allowed female members to join the club. In order to be accepted into the Edinburgh Figure Skating Club in the mid-1850s, that members were required to be able to skate complete circles on one foot in a figure eight pattern and then jump over one hat, two hats, and three hats with skates on!
