Junior Board Disco Night – 5/28
We are happy to announce that Disco Night party is back! We will be hosting it this Friday, 5/28 at 8:30 PM public session (don’t forget to sign up via FIA Mindbody website).
*Credit is available if you previously purchased a ticket for the cancelled Disco Night public session on April 16th. Please email officemanager@fairfaxicearena.com if you wish to have the credit applied to your account, and you can use that for purchasing a new ticket for the rescheduled Disco Night public session (May 28th, 8:30-9:45PM). Annual Banquet 7/10
As we prepare for the annual banquet on July 10th, we will be getting ready for our annual video and we need pictures and video clips from all of you.
We are looking for photos from the last year to include, but not limited to, the following:
- test session photos,
- competition pics if you attended any,
- pics with coaches/skaters,
- pics from last years banquet if you have any fabulous hoop shots!
You know the drill!!! Please send photos to renee@scnv.org by May 31st. If possible, please indicate who is in the photos (individual names where possible or Open Juv Synchro team if it is a full team photo).
Very few actually competed last season so I know we will get lots of pics after cardinal classic and I can’t wait to see those too. We will accept photos from Cardinal up through June 15th.
Meanwhile, please send in any photos you have now that you would like to submit so we can start organizing. Thank you in advance!
Championship Series Leesburg 10/26 – 10/30 & Skate Leesburg Open 10/22 – 10/23
SCNV will co-host with Ion Figure Skating the Championship Series Presented by Toyota, Leesburg and Skate Leesburg Open on 10/26 to 10/30 at the Ion International Training Center, Leesburg VA. U.S. Figure Skating Sanction Pending.
The Championship Series, October 26-30, is a qualifying competition that is being held in lieu of the normal qualifying season due to COVID-19 and will include Juvenile through Senior singles events.
Skate Leesburg Open, October 22-23, is a non-qualifying competition and will include singles events, Compete USA levels, well balanced, Excel and showcase, No Test through Pre-Juvenile and Open Juvenile.
Both competitions will be held at Ion International Training Center, Leesburg VA. U.S. Figure Skating Sanction Pending.
Club Ice News
For those in our Mondays Solo Pattern Dance (SPD) class, the test schedule has been set on the last Monday club ice day 6/7. Best of luck to all our skaters!
As a reminder, the remaining Spring 2021 Club Ice dates for Freestyle (FS) and Solo Pattern Dance (SPD) are:
- Sundays FS: 6/6 (for those not at/done with Cardinal Classic!)
- Mondays SPD+FS: 5/10, 5/17, 5/24, and 6/7 (last one!)
