G2C Virtual Parent Seminar – 8/20
Coach Audrey Weisiger (of Grassroots to Champions) is hosting a virtual parent chat on the role of a parent, planning for success, and do’s and don’ts of skating. Please send questions in advance to audreyweisiger@gmail.com.

Club Jackets Fall 2021 Order Deadline – 9/3
Get ready for this season with a new club jacket from Mondoor and Lululemon! Contact melanie@scnv.org for further details. Orders must be received by 9/3 for delivery by Columbus Day in October.
Club Ice News – Registration Open!
Registration is now open! Back again are discounted Freestyle sessions on Sunday mornings and Monday evenings, plus a coach led Solo Pattern Dance (SPD) class with Christine Valente open to all levels. Club Ice will begin 9/12 and 9/13! All club dates including club ice are posted on our live club calendar (see here).

The Club Testing schedule is now posted on both our live club calendar (see here), the Testing web page and our bulletin boards at FIA and (soon) PWIC. Please contact testchair@scnv.org with any questions.
Blue Ridge Classic – 10/23 – 10/24
Registration continues for the non-qualifying competition Blue Ridge Classic. Please don’t delay registering since it is highly likely that registration will close early. Competition dates: October 23-24, 2021. Location: Ion International Training Center. Singles events: Well Balanced No Test, Pre-Preliminary, Preliminary, Pre-Juvenile, Open Juvenile; Excel Beginner to Senior; Showcase Events; and Adult Levels. Register through EMS.
U.S. Figure Skating Championship Series Presented by Toyota – 10/27 – 10/30
The limited registration period continues, during which time competitors can register for a second competition in the Series. Many Series locations are nearing capacity and will close once they reach their capacity. Please do not delay registering. Registration information found here.
Did you know?!
On average, it takes skaters six years to pass their senior moves in the field test and eight years to pass the senior freestyle test. While this timeline varies with each skater, every test passed is another accomplishment and something to be celebrated. (source USFSA)
