Excel Series Webinar
On 12/1 at 7:00 PM EST, U.S. Figure Skating will be hosting a webinar overview of the 2022 Excel Series; this webinar is geared towards coaches and parents wanting to learn more about the Excel Series. The link to register is here.

SCNV Holiday Party & Food Drive – 12/10 5:00 – 8:00pm
We welcome all SCNV members to join us on December 10th for a fun holiday celebration! This event is being hosted by SCNV’s Jr. Board who are excited to celebrate with everyone! Please use the following SignUpGenius link to register! For questions, please contact alexandra@scnv.org.

Cardinal Classic 2022 Competition Local Organizing Committee (LOC)
Our 7th Annual Cardinal Classic competition will be held on April 1-3, 2022 at Prince William Ice Center in Woodbridge, VA.

Interested in volunteering to help organize the Cardinal Classic 2022? We are seeking:

  • Awards Chairs: Purchases the medals and trophies, and organizes the medal ceremonies
  • Program Chair: Design and layout of the event program
  • T-shirt Designer: Designs the competition tshirts
  • Small Jobs: All done in advance of the competition, 4 hours or less commitment

HJJ Collegiate Scholarship News
For all Class of 2022 SCNV members, the Honor and John Johnson Collegiate Scholarship online applications are now available! Deadline is April 8, 2022. Please contact Alexandra@scnv.org. for more information, questions, etc.

Club Ice News
For Club Ice Solo Pattern Dance subscribers, please RSVP to your testing invitation at the upcoming 12/11 club test session at PWIC. Our holiday pot-luck and white elephant gift exchange is set for 12/13 after the FS session. All club dates including club ice are posted on our live club calendar (see here).

U.S. Figure Skating is the national governing body for the sport of figure skating in the United States. U.S. Figure Skating is a member of the International Skating Union (ISU), the international federation for figure skating; and the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee (USOPC).

U.S. Figure Skating is comprised of member clubs, collegiate clubs, school-affiliated clubs, individual members and Friends of Figure Skating.

There were seven charter member clubs in 1921 when the association was formed and first became a member of the ISU. To date, U.S. Figure Skating has more than 750 member, school-affiliated and collegiate clubs. (USFSA website)
