Jr. Board Halloween Party & Club Send-offs! – 10/29
Jr. Board Halloween Party this Saturday, October 29th!!!
And, please join us at Fairfax Ice Arena for our Eastern Sectional Send Offs immediately afterwards.
12:00-3:00 PM – Jr. Board Halloween Party
3:50-4:20 PM – Send Off exhibition followed by individual and group pictures.
4:30 PM – Treats and well wishes in the rink lobby.
Coach’s Appreciation Month in November
From November 1st to 15th, posters of our beloved coaches will be up by the off-ice room at Fairfax Ice Arena. Please stop by to write a message to your coach. Skaters are also encouraged to make their own crafts or cards.
MY SKATING STORY
Please submit one picture, on or off ice, with your skating story (When you start skating, Why you love skating, memorable moments, favorite skater, your skate buddy, story with your coach, competition, show, etc) Your story will be feature on our social media in the month of December. Last day to submit your story is November 30th. Please email your story to socialmedia@scnv.org.
Club Holiday Party! – 12/11
Please join us to celebrate the holiday on Sunday, December 11th from 1.30-4.30 at Mantua Swim and Tennis Club 9330 Pentland PL, Fairfax, VA 22031. RSVP by December 1, 2022

National Blades Synchro Skating News
Did you know? — The National Blades has a new Open Adult Synchro team. Come out and join the fun. Skaters must be 18 years of age or older and be able to skate forward, backward and do crossovers and all basic turns. We practice Sundays from 6-7:40 pm at the Prince William Ice Center. Please contact Head Coach Teresa Yuengert at synchro@scnv.org if you are interested in participating.
Also, our National Blades Synchro teams will perform in our annual Holiday Show on Dec 11, 2022 from 1-4 pm at the Prince William Ice Center. There will be solo performances as well as performances by each team. We will be having a basket raffle fundraiser and holiday bake sale at the show to raise money for ice time and competition fees. Please join us for a fun and entertaining afternoon. Admission fee is a non-perishable food item for our local food pantry.
Everything Counts (while on Club Ice)
Freestyle session getting crowded? How about club ice? Members pay $18 to drop-in anytime (and non-members limited to 3 times) with the following schedule:
- Sunday Freestyle sessions (40 minutes) at 11:20am to 12:00pm
- Monday Freestyle sessions (40 minutes) at 8:05pm to 8:45pm
- Monday Solo Pattern Dance sessions (New! 2 classes of 20 minutes each) at 7:25pm to 8:05pm

Although we’ll still have Monday Club ice on 10/31, subscribers are welcome to take time off to enjoy trick-or-treating that night. Happy Halloween!
