- Did You Know?!
We could not have done it without you! We had around 100 members volunteer over four days. I received great feedback from our guests, noting how helpful everyone was and how well organized the event was. Kudos to you!
I also want to thank our fabulous LOC for the months they spent planning the competition: Thuthuy Huynh (Volunteers), Natalia Antsilevich (Awards), Isabel Isidro and Natalie Wester (Communications), Lori Bachman and Teresa Swihart (Hospitality), Julia Wallace (Medical), Karen Adelstein (Merchandise and Treasurer), Charles Park (Music), Deb Spence and Jenn Rafael (Officials), Natalie Wester (Practice Ice), Olga Ryzhuk and Hayley Ebert (Program), Amelia Shuster, Natasha Saranovski and Elaine Leichter (Registration), Adam Nash (TOI & Setup/Breakdown), Heather Hill (Vendors). Also, a big thanks to Karen Adelstein, our Chief Scoring Official, and Cheryl Litman, our Chief Referee, and to our club members who participated as officials: Melanya Berggren, Lynn Eisenhour, Thuthuy Huynh, Kerry Jennings-Cooper, Alyssa Liverette and Charles Park. Plus, we have a number of prospective judges from among our members who we hope to add to our roster of officials with appointments next year!
Thanks! Melissa Mahle, Cardinal LOC Chair (melissa@scnv.org).
The SCNV Board voted to increase the volunteer incentive to 20% (from 10%) which members can earn when volunteering 10 hours or more during eligible SCNV hosted activities starting this new season (June 2025-May 2026). The credit will be applied towards next year’s membership renewal (the 2026-2027 season). Those who volunteered this past season 10 hours or more should see their 10% credit when they renew membership for this season. Questions? Please contact melissa@scnv.org.
