Join us for a dedicated hour with Coach Kaylynn Boswell focused on refining your stroking skills, edge quality, and overall body movement. Whether you’re working to deepen your edge control or build everyday on-ice confidence, this session is designed to meet you right where you are on your skating journey.
Kaylynn is a DMV-area skater, competitor, coach, and Skating Director at the Capital Clubhouse. She shares her passion for skating with her students each week and helps skaters of all ages grow their skills and confidence on the ice. As a coach, her areas of focus include freestyle, artistry, and strong foundational skating skills. She also continues to compete as an adult including as a member of the Capital Theatre on Ice Adult Team which represented Team USA at the Gold Cup.
Where: Mount Vernon Rec Center (2017 Belle View Blvd, Alexandria, VA 22307)
When: Saturday, October 3, 2026 | 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM (Please arrive early to get your skates on so you’re ready to hit the ice right at 9!)
Requirement: Age 21+ and have passed Adult Pre-Bronze Skating Skills

Adult Skaters: Join The Next Ice Edge at Mount Vernon Rec Center!
Looking to deepen your skating skills and connect with the adult skating community in the DMV? The Next Ice Edge Adult Skating Class offers a unique on-ice experience focused on developing body control, line, lean, and skating efficiency.
The six-week series features one hour of instruction followed by 45 minutes of exclusive practice ice. Skaters may also contact instructors directly for 15-minute private lessons during the practice session.
Sundays, 9:00–10:45 a.m.
October 18–November 22
Ages 18+ | Prerequisite: Adult 6 or higher
Location: Mount Vernon Rec Center, 2017 Belle View Blvd Alexandria, VA 22307

The 4th Annual Stars and Stripes Synchro Invitational will be taking place October 24th to 25th at Prince William Ice Center.
Interested in being on the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) for Cardinal Classic 2027? We are looking for chairs, co-chairs and committee members. Our committees are:
Awards, Communications (Social Media and Technology), Fundraising, Hospitality, Officials, Practice Ice, Program, Registration, Setup, Volunteers and vendors.
LOC meetings are monthly via Zoom, starting in January. Melissa Mahle and Jenn Rafael are co-chairing the LOC.
