SCNV will be hosting a Parent Education Seminar for Club members on preparing for competitions. Competition Chair Melissa Mahle will present practical information for parents of skaters who are new to competitions and parents who would like a better understanding of the differences between types of events – well balanced verses Excel, for example. We’ll discuss some do’s and don’ts, and tactics on how to manage competition anxiety and encourage good sportsmanship. We will have a Q&A section, so bring your questions!

The Parent Education Seminar will be held on February 20 at 7:00pm via Zoom. It will be recorded, with the recording made available afterwards to those who are not available to attend the virtual discussion.
