We thank the members and friends whom have made contributions in memory of the lives lost on American Airlines Flight 5342 on January 29th, 2025. We are deeply appreciative of these acts of generosity. SCNV relies on your support to operate the programs that directly benefit our members. We have four Funds:
The Competitor’s Fund directly supports SCNV skaters who advance through the qualifying US Figure Skating structure and compete at Sectionals, Nationals and the US Figure Skating National Development Camp, a prestigious, invitation-only training camp designed for skaters at the Juvenile, Intermediate, and Novice levels to foster the next generation of competitive figure skaters.
The Collegiate Fund enables scholarships to eligible SCNV high school seniors who plan to pursue full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university or vocational-technical school for the entire upcoming academic year.
The 50th Anniversary Fund supports a range of activities including new trophies and club subsidized skating activities. Three new trophies include The Sandy Sparger Achievement Trophy, The Olga Garrity Inspiration on Theatre on Ice Trophy and The 50th Anniversary Trophy. You can read more about each of them here.
The General Fund provides for our social activities, such as our annual Banquet, Cardinal Classic competition, test sessions, and the many other activities that help foster friendships and build our community.
