Jenn Rafael loves to help skaters and their families find their place within SCNV. Currently vice president, she also has served as SCNV’s test chair, assisting with in-person and virtual sessions.

She has served on the Cardinal Classic Local Organizing Committee in various capacities.

Jenn’s son Jesse is in his seventh season with Virginia Ice Theatre. As the team’s competitions chair, she: handles registration for TOI Nationals and other events; ensures that all team members meet club membership requirements and pass the appropriate tests; and audits team SafeSport compliance.

Outside the rink, Jenn has served on the boards of several religious and social services nonprofit organizations, with experience planning, promoting and executing events involving the recruitment, training and scheduling of volunteers. She has served on the board of directors for the Lorton Community Action Center for eight years and is board secretary.

Jenn’s career includes more than 30 years in media and digital communications; she is the senior director for communications and technology for a national association of federal workers.
