Reaching Out for Help

SCNV has compiled a revised list of local and national resources to help our members deal with the many emotions to this tragedy. You can access the revised list here: Resource-List-for-Grief-Counseling-02022025.

50th Anniversary News

Dear Members and Friends,

With profound sadness, we must share that the SCNV 50th Anniversary Gala, originally scheduled for Saturday, March 8th at Belle Heaven Country Club, has been postponed.

This difficult decision was not made lightly. Given the recent tragic events involving the crash of American Airlines flight 5342, which carried some of our SCNV family, we feel it is essential to prioritize supporting our community during this incredibly difficult time. Out of respect for their memory and in support of their families, we believe postponing our gathering is the most appropriate course of action.

This event is not cancelled; it will be rescheduled. We are currently determining a new date for the Gala and will share an update as soon as those plans are finalized.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the loved ones of those we have lost during this incredibly difficult time. We appreciate your understanding and patience as we navigate this period of mourning.

If you have any questions or need support, please do not hesitate to reach out. Let us come together to remember and celebrate the lives of those we have lost.

You may continue to send 50th Anniversary questions to natalie@scnv.org or scnv50th@scnv.org.

Competitor’s Fund Donations

The SCNV Competitor’s Fund directly supports skaters who advance through the US Figure Skating qualifying system and compete at sectional, national and international events. This fund also supports those who attend the National Development camp program. Brielle Beyer, Cory Haynos and Eddie Zhou were all beneficiaries of this fund as they rose through the ranks of competitive figure skating.
